Autobiography


Astrid Lægreid is Pro-Rector Research and Innovation at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. Lægreid is a professor of functional genome research at the Faculty of Medicine (DMF). She specializes in biology/molecular biology. She has worked at NTNU since 1988, initially as a research fellow and later as a researcher and associate professor before accepting the position as professor in 2002.

Lægreid gained managerial experience during her period as Vice-Dean at DMF, and she has been a member of several boards at NTNU since her arrival. She has served on a number of committees and panels, also outside her own field and faculty, and partly at national level.
